Although they began dating in May 2023, Mallory and Mitchell's story actually began in 1987. Mallory's mother, Betsy, and Mitchell's mother, Susan, met during their freshman year at The Ohio State University. They met on move in day, and later joined the same sorority, Pi Beta Phi, where they became good friends. They were in each others' weddings and have remained friends ever since.

Mallory graduated from Dublin Jerome and the University of Kentucky, and Mitchell graduated from Olentangy Liberty and The Ohio State University. They grew up just miles apart and although they knew of each other, they officially met by chance in May 2023. They hit it off instantly on their first date at Lincoln Social, and could immediately see a future together. After a short time of dating, they finally told their mothers, who were of course thrilled.

Mallory and Mitchell share many interests, including entertaining friends, trying new restaurants, and staying active together. Mallory has learned to cheer for the Buckeyes, and Mitchell for the Wildcats. Mallory has come to love Mitchell's beloved dog, Remy, and has learned what it's like to date an avid golfer!
